Review: Sally Hansen – Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue är obeskrivlig blå. Ända sen jag såg det här inlägget hos Sophia har mina naglar haft cravings, och nu har jag äntligen hittat flaskan och jag har inte lackat om på två dagar. Höst ovanligt för att vara mig. Ingen chipping och minimal tipwear. Och bäst av allt: min aversion mot blått på naglarna har inte känts av alls!

Pacific Blue is indescribable. Ever since I saw this post at Sophia’s blog I’ve been craving something like it on my nails, and now it has been accompanying me for two days with no chipping and minimal tip wear. And guess what, my I couldn’t feel a trace of my aversion to blue polish!

Collection: Xtreme Wear line, spring 2010 collection.
Application: This is two coats and top coat. Okay formula, not watery.
Dry time: Normal.
Finish & colour: There has to be neon pigment in this baby. But I will still call it a cream, it dries glossy and applies well. The colour.. it’s electric. But I can’t really decide what to call it. Cobalt?
Dupes/sisters: This is a sister to HM Blue my Mind, which I’ve been looking for for several days until i remembered I’ve swapped it off a year ago… must get myself another bottle. See Nihrida’s comparison here.

Favourite colour combo in layers

Två Scratch Nails-lack, i botten Camouflage och över det Hologram Gold. Jag har en grej för kombinationen guld och turkost, det är nog en av mina topp-10 favoritkombinationer. Hm, jag kanske skulle göra en favoritkombovecka?

Hursomhelst är Camouflage ett av de två nyaste tillskotten till Scratchfamiljen, en mjuk kall turkos som drar åt grönt och känns som både en vår- och en höstfärg. Den kommer dyka upp i ett eget inlägg. Hologram Gold har blivit ett favoritlayeringlack, jag har inget som liknar det. Kunde vara mikroversionen av NYX Gilded Glitter, alltså mycket mindre “bitar”, uppblandat med lite större prismatiskt glitter som ger det liv. Ska testa det över vitt nästa gång.

Two Scratch Nails polishes, first the turquoise Camouflage, then Hologram Gold. I have a thing for this colour combination, it’s one of my top ten faves. Maybe I should have a themed week with my favourite colour combinations..?

Anyways, Camouflage is one of the two newest additions to the Scratch family, a soft muted, cool toned, greenish turquoise. It will have a post of its own. Hologram Gold has grown to be one of my favourite top coats, it reminds me of a micro-version of NYX Gilded Glitter with much smaller “chunks” mixed with prismatic glitter that makes it come alive. I’m dying to try it over white.

Funky French goes Caribbean

Det här känns som om en del av Karibien fastnat på nageln, visst? Jag har haft ett rätt ambivalent inställning till blått på naglarna, men såhär känns det helt rätt. När naglarna vuxit ut lite och jag har en riktig kant att faktiskt måla kommer jag göra om det, tror den här kombon kommer bli en sommarfavorit. Men just nu är naglarna i så dåligt skick att det är en plåga att fota dem eller att titta på dem utan lack. Jag väljer Karibien istället :)

A piece of the Caribbean got stuck on my nails, yes? It feels like it! I’m a bit ambivalent to blue shades on my nails but like this I totally dig it. When my nails are a little longer again and I have a real tip to paint this colour combo will be a summer favourite.
